GENERAL PURPOSE:
You will be expected to provide administrative and customer service as directed by the Operations Manager. You will be expected to have experience with computer billing and filing.
You must possess the ability to deal with unexpected situations on a daily basis and solve them within PATS’s procedures and policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure that all reporting, and billing requirements relative to Medicaid and HCBS
funding sources are met in a timely manner.
2. Ability to deal with problems and stressful situations involving several variables in
changing situations.
3. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
4. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
5. Ensure that all paperwork for Access to Job punch tickets, probation tickets, Home
Community Based Services and Senior Rate punch cards is completed in a timely
manner.
6. Ability to complete paperwork dealing with multiple grants and awards in a timely
manner.
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of
individuals organizations, state and federal.
8. Ability to prepare weekly, monthly and annual operation performance data.
9. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
10. Review previous day logs for accuracy. Match Medicaid and HCBS forms to daily log
and update notes as needed.
11. Update Medicaid paperwork, Senior Rate and Income Certification as necessary.
12. Attend Lead Academy and various trainings approved by the Transit Operations
Manager.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have the ability to effectively communicate ideas and proposals to the Operations Manager. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents pertaining to grants, accounting, Medicaid etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Must possess the following:
1. Knowledge of MSWord, MS Excel and other publications software is highly
desirable.
2. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
Associate of Arts degree or higher is preferred, but not mandatory.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have experience working as an Administrative Assistant or as secretarial/clerical office staff.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to see and read typewritten text. Must have sufficient range of motion in hands, arms and shoulders to be able to utilize a computer keyboard and mouse. Must be able to occasionally lift moderate weight, i.e., files, record books, etc. Must be assertive and self-motivated and have the ability to complete multiple, simultaneous projects.
