40-hour week

Reports to Director of Public Health

A Southeast Colorado Case Management Agency (SECO CMA) Supervisor leads a team of case managers, ensuring compliance with state (HCPF) and county rules, managing staff performance, and ensuring high-quality person-centered services. They conduct and/or review audits, handle hiring/training, manage budgets, and oversee long-term care services to meet contract requirements. 

REQUIRED: 2 years working with all waivers in the SECO CMA program.

Position closes: Tuesday March 3, 2026 5:00PM MST

Compensation:$25-$35/hr DOE

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the Case Management Agency program staff and provides leadership, guidance and support to staff ensuring a high level of performance and compliance with County, State and Federal rules and regulations; addresses employee concerns and resolve problems in collaboration with Department Personnel and County Human Resources; manages hiring process including candidate review, coordinating interview teams, facilitating interviews, and hiring recommendations; assists in developing educational and professional development opportunities for staff; encourages integrity and excellence in case management, models and expects the case management agency team to be open and flexible to new and different approaches and responsibilities; provides coaching and assistance as needed to case managers to attain and hone required skills and knowledge. Design and evaluate onboarding and training for new Case Management staff

  • Manages all the components of assigned waiver programs and any assigned state general fund programs; Monitors and evaluates workflow using knowledge of business functions, program requirements and economic conditions to establish unit goals and timetables; Uses tracking data to identify trends in customer volume and the need for making changes in work assignments to adjust accordingly; Conducts individual and group conferences to set and monitor deadlines; Develops systematic methods to monitor work to ensure compliance; Ensure completion and submission of all required paperwork related to Medicaid appeals; Represent (or designate) the CMA and HCPF at hearings.

  • Serves as an advocate for clients, families, and/or providers during conflict situations and assists with problem solving the best solutions to meet clients’ long-term care needs as well as for meeting other needs that may arise; Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with community partners and providers, including Program Approved Service Agencies (PASA); Attends all appropriate local and state meetings, committees, workshops, and conferences; Communicates effectively and works in conjunction with local, state, and federal entities to ensure client access to services.

  • Works with PH Director and Accountant to create and monitor budget.
