Reminder: Action Needed – Stand Against the National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (NIETC)
Last month, the Prowers County Commissioners passed a resolution opposing the National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (NIETC), citing concerns over the improper use of eminent domain and the exclusion of local governments from the decision-making process. Alongside our neighboring counties, and with the support of our State and Congressional representatives, the comment period has been successfully extended until April 15th.
This extension gives you a critical opportunity to voice your opposition to federal projects that threaten our agricultural land and community rights. We urge you to take this opportunity and make your voice heard by submitting your comments to the Department of Energy.
